Endearing, are we?

Heart pounding a hundred miles per hour is definitely not how she fashioned herself to be as wide eyes scanned the surrounding area.

         It was oddly serene that day, monotonous atmosphere highlighted by the steady rhythm of raindrops.  Her cool palms was pressed against the cup of freshly brewed Espresso before gingerly brought to her lips.Caffeine was God-send, truly. Careful sips, hard eyes and even harder assignment that is due in less than an hour, it was amazing how much self-restraint she still had. Of course, the moment she successfully submit her assignment, heads will roll.          And maybe she was not completely innocent for willingly agree to whatever shenanigans the dork was trying to pull, already knowing from past experiences anything that mildly sparked his interest had proved to be trolling material through and through. However,  she will have the last laugh if that is the last thing she do.          On the other hand, he probably had expected that and most likely hide in the guys’ dormitory. Again....

“Uh…I know what this looks like so, if you could just,”  slender fingers tugged and twisted on his apron, “ give me a moment.” The amused quirk of lips was nothing but predictable, coming from the little devil. In any case, the said little devil had decided that his pitiful flailing to gather what was left of his shredded pride was far too interesting that she just had to snap a few pictures. Probably for blackmail or whatever unholy purposes her mind conjured up.
